Weeks & Whitford, Eyes For You

‘Eyes For You’

In this work Weeks & Whitford continue their commitment to complex participatory performances. Working with a third masked anonymous performer they create an uncomfortable immersive environment and conjure an intense ambience. Communicating through installation, soundscape and choreographies of actions the work juxtaposes a language of obviously sensual fetishistic interactions alongside a personal language, pertaining to subtle psychological exchanges. These exchanges occur via a gaze framed by a picture frame suspended from the ceiling on a string of pearls. The frame serves to highlight, filter and facilitate a sustained silent exchange between Weeks & Whitford.
